A message from Dean Lauren Whitnah:

It is with deep sadness I share that Dr. David Sherwood passed and went to be in the nearer presence of Christ on Sunday, February 16, after a brief illness.

For more than 20 years, Dr. Sherwood served the seminary as the Director of the Frances Donaldson Library and as Associate Professor of Ascetical Theology. In addition to leaving an indelible mark on the France Donaldson Library, Dr. Sherwood influenced generations of students through his teaching, mentorship, and ministry of spiritual direction. He will be remembered especially for the way he faithfully embodied the ascetical practices he taught.

Together, we pray for Dr. Sherwood’s family and friends, as well as for all members of the Nashotah House community.

Rest eternal grant unto him, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon him.
