Thank you for considering a gift to Nashotah House

For the past 180 years, we have formed the next generation of faithful leaders, lay and ordained, for the Church. The Sons and Daughters of Nashotah House have been sent to established congregations, chaplaincies, new church plants, and other diverse mission fields where they have advanced the boundaries of God’s Kingdom. You know all too well that our churches, communities, and society desperately need leaders like them.

Your support is what makes this work possible. Would you prayerfully consider how God might be calling you to help preserve, enhance, and expand our work? We exist only because of God’s providential blessing through the prayers and resources provided by our many partners across the Church. Without your generous support year after year, we simply would cease to operate. I am certain there is no greater gift you can give the Church than a faithful priesthood and a fully equipped laity.

Thank you for your willingness to partner with us.

Our Funding Priorities

Your donation makes a difference.

  • Make a gift in honor of Dr Garwood Anderson

As Dr. Anderson prepares to retire as dean this spring, would you consider a gift to Nashotah House in honor of his years of service? We can’t think of a more fitting tribute to a beloved professor and dean than to ensure the next generation of seminarians is prepared to lead the church well – for the sake of the gospel and to the glory of God.

  • Seminary’s Greatest Needs/Jackson Kemper Fund

Nashotah House continues to thrive as a community of learning and scholarship, committed to classical theological principles, ethical norms, and practices of the Catholic Tradition of Anglican Christianity, primarily towards the formation of ordained priests but also for lay ministry, training Christians to "take the Gospel to the ends of the earth."

  • The Bishop Parsons Scholarship Fund

While studies indicate that the field of theology consistently has the lowest tuition and fees, seminarians are still at a significant disadvantage, since compensation for clergy and other church professionals is modest at best. Add to the likely burden of debt from their undergraduate studies, it becomes difficult for many students to answer their call to ministry simply because of the financial burden. Virtually all of our residential students, and over 60% of our Hybrid-Distance and Advanced Degree students, require financial aid from scholarships and loans.

The Bishop Parsons Scholarship Fund helps those students ease that financial burden by providing significant relief, but the need is ever-growing. Your contributions to this fund not only helps the students, but it also helps our ability to attract students who would otherwise attend seminaries whose endowments are far greater than Nashotah's.

  • Capital and Technology Fund

With almost half of our sixteen buildings built in the mid to late 1800s, Nashotah House spends significant resources simply maintaining and repairing the campus infrastructure. The need to further that effort to include restoration of its historic buildings while upgrading its technology is an ever-increasing need.

Contributions to this fund will help provide monies for projects such as:

    • Creating a smart classroom that will assist students in the hybrid-distance program, serve as a teaching lab for residential students, and provide the capability of creating and disseminating first-class presentations and podcasts.
    • Begin the arduous process of restoring St. Mary's chapel, including restoring much of the wood carvings and parts of the sanctuary that over the many years has begun to decay, and upgrading the speakers and electronics to improve various aspects of liturgical instruction.
