Fr. Gabig’s research interests are concerned with issues of ancient creedal faith lived out in contemporary contexts, focusing on catechesis, popular culture, and mission in America. Additionally, he has a growing interest in helping those engaged in pastoral ministry to cultivate better mental health amongst those whom they serve through spiritual direction, listening, and prayer. His publications include one book, Youth Religion and Film (2007); and articles and reviews in The Journal of Youth and Theology, The Journal of Youth Ministry, The Trinity Journal of Theology and Ministry, and the Youth Specialties online journal.
