Katrina C. Wilson, author of “War, Love, and Redemption,” was born in Latvia and is the granddaughter of that country’s first president. Along with her mother and sister, she was smuggled to Sweden by the Latvian underground to evade arrest by the Nazis. She later immigrated to the United States and built a family and career, always grounded in a steadfast dedication to Christ and family. While she started her career as a medical research technologist at Harvard Medical School, she later found her passion in sharing her story. She is an accomplished public speaker, retreat leader, Bible study facilitator, and contributor to several Christian periodicals. However, her favorite role was as mother to two daughters and the wife for 61 years of Fr. H. David Wilson, former Rector of All Saints Church in Winter Park, Florida. Katrina established Baltic Outreach in 1990, after the fall of the Soviet Union, sending much-needed medical aid to the country of her birth. For her diligent effort, the president of Latvia awarded her the Three Star Medal for her significant service to Latvia.
