Planned Giving

Easy, Tax-Wise Giving with Your IRA

Nashotah House alumni and friends who are age 70 ½ or older can support the seminary with a tax-free transfer up to $100,000 a year from their individual retirement account. The charitable IRA rollover, or qualified charitable distribution (QCD), can count toward your required minimum distribution, if you are age 72 or older.

Your gift can support the annual fund, a named scholarship, a particular building project, or an area of your choosing. Please specify this in our bequest form below.

To make an immediate impact and support the House with your IRA, contact your plan administrator and request the amount you wish to transfer directly to Nashotah House Theological Seminary, Tax ID# 39-0806195. For your gift to count in 2023, it must be received by December 31.

If planned giving is right for you, work with your attorney to include bequest language in your will or trust.

When you include Nashotah House in your estate plans, you ensure future ministers continue to be equipped and sent out into local communities like yours. Thank you for considering the health of the seminary well into the future.
