Diocese of Southwest Florida

Priest & Resident Chaplain

Job Description:

The Diocese of Southwest Florida seeks a resident chaplain and spiritual leader for our ministry on the campus of the University of South Florida in Tampa. St. Anselm’s Episcopal Chapel Center, dates from 1962 and includes a residence and chapel on campus.

The USF chaplaincy is an intentional activity of the whole Church— a long-term investment in the lives of students and staff at USF, both in the present and future, providing them with a safe place where they can seek comfort and support, explore their faith, while allowing them the opportunity to grow as children of God.

This is an exciting and life-giving ministry opportunity for a priest committed to shared ministry.

If you discern that God may be calling you too this exciting ministry, please submit the following to the Rev’d Canon Richard H. Norman, Canon to the Ordinary, Diocese of Southwest Florida at rnorman@episcopalswfl.org . The application deadline is March 31, 2020.

  • Résumé or c.v.
  • A copy of your updated OTM profile
  • A letter of interest that highlights the ways in which your gifts will meet the needs of the chaplaincy and why you feel called to serve in this portion of God’s vineyard
