Associate for Youth and Young Adults - St John’s Church - Savannah, GA
St John’s Church is a flagship parish in the classical Anglican/Episcopal tradition located in the Historic District of downtown Savannah, GA. We are stewards of a gorgeous downtown campus and have a healthy and growing program-sized congregation. Our motto is: “Biblical Truth in the Beauty of the Anglican Tradition.” In beautiful worship, solid biblical preaching, and an unmatched gift of hospitality, St John’s seeks to make the Lord Jesus known to all, both young and old. St John’s is seeking an Associate for Youth and Young Adults with a primary focus on building on the foundation of an excellent and steadily growing ministry to youth (Middle and High School) and their families. The goal of St John’s youth ministry is that our youth would come to know and love Jesus, trusting him as the Lord of their lives. By grounding our youth in the worshiping life of the church, forming them by catechesis, and in building relationships of trust with them and their parents, we hope to equip them for a life of committed Christian faith and practice, in patterns of lifelong discipleship in the fellowship of the church. Principal youth-related duties are: Assistance at the 9 am Family Service on Sundays Catechesis through Youth Group, Youth Sunday School & Confirmation Class Organizing youth events and retreats Mentoring youth and connecting with families outside of Sunday worship Making new connections with youth and families in the Savannah area Bringing an energetic and creative vision for youth ministry and its development at St John’s We are also interested in developing a plan for ministry to young adults (20s-mid 30s). In addition to a large population of college students, Savannah has a sizeable population of young professionals. We hope to offer a fuller ministry to this under-served demographic in downtown Savannah. St John’s is deeply committed to the proclamation of the saving gospel of Jesus Christ in our preaching and living, and to passing on the fullness of the Christian Faith to the next generation. Any candidate for this position should be able to articulate what this commitment would mean for them. Full-time with Benefits – Open to lay or ordained persons (competitive salary; dependent upon experience and ordination status). Send CV and references to Fr Jonathan Jameson at jjameson@stjohnssav.org. Application deadline: May 16, 2025.

We are recruiting for a full-time Director for Congregational Development & Networking for the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut, known as the Episcopal Church in Connecticut (ECCT). ECCT provides oversight and administrative support for over 150 Episcopal parishes on behalf of the approximately 50,000 Episcopalians living in the state. ECCT is committed to participating in the mission of God in Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit in these challenging times for the church and for the world.
